TRAX
Video Projection Mapping, 2025
TRAX is created with a custom real-time audio-reaction generative system written in python and 3d modeling.
Using real-time signal analysis, the system maps audio amplitude, spectrum, and rhythmic patterns into multi-layered grids of geometry. Each group of lines operates as an autonomous agent — its speed, density, and direction driven by the dynamics of the sound.
The composition emerges from the interaction of these parallel systems: independent yet synchronized through a shared temporal field.
The work draws from the rhythms, mechanics, and imagery of the railway. Train-related elements form moving patterns that resonate with the station’s architecture and the pulse of railway motion. The façade becomes a vast musical score, transforming into a step sequencer where architectural lines generate beats and rhythms. Through the interplay of cartographic patterns, and the organic flow of light and rhythm, the projection reveals the poetic relationship between travel, sound, and architecture.
