HYPNOGRAPH

Generative Video Installation

2017

The video installation Hypnograph is a journey between Sleep states. Each pixel (pixel) interacts with its neighbors creating possible images of brain function during sleep.

The algorithmic video installation is using the principle of real-time slit-scan process in 3-dimensional matrices. The installation generates a single pixel which is multiplied in order to fill the screen. Each multiplicated pixel is being shifted in time controlled by pre-programmed ''time patterns''.

Shown at Athens School of Fine Arts, Greece & Gouda light Festival 2018, Netherlands.
