Panagiotis Tomaras is a video and light artist working with variety of analogue and digital mediums that further investigate the visual experience through video projections, light installations and photography.


Born in Athens in 1985, where he received BA in Photography and MA in the Digital Arts at Athens School of Fine Arts, he is based the last years in the Hague, where he also went on to be awarded his Master of Music at ArtScience Interfaculty of Royal Conservatory of the Hague. His main tutors were Thanasis Rentzis, Joost Rekveld and Edwin van der Heide.


Among the others Tomaras has been worked close together with the choreographer Russell Maliphant, opera director Francesco Micheli, multimedia researcher Chris Salter and since 2013 he has been making the video and projection design for industrial EBM legends Clock DVA.

Tomaras has created numerous of commissioned work for theater, opera, dance, and commercials, also participating and winning several competitions such as the Athens International Film Festival, and the Best Visuals Award at Incubate Festival 2013. Selection of his photography work is part of the Greek Photography Museum collection.
