Panagiotis Tomaras is a visual artist and musician who uses a variety of analog and digital media that further exploring the sensory experience through audiovisual performances, video projections, light art, sound and photography installations.

He received his BA degree in Photography and Audiovisual Arts at University of West Attica and completed his master studies in Digital Art Forms faculty of Athens School of Fine Arts and his second master at Art Science interfaculty of the Royal Conservatory and Royal Academy of Arts of The Hague.

He has presented personal and collaborative work at new media festivals, art galleries, theaters and concert venues such as the CTM festival (Berlin), Onassis Cultural Center (Athens) , ArtScience Museum (Singapore), Rough Trade (New York), Sadler's Wells (London), Athens International Film Festival (Athens), Greek National Opera (Athens), Eye Film Museum (Netherlands), Kraftwerk Berlin (Berlin), Athens and Epidaurus Festival (Athens), Photo Biennale (Thessaloniki), Athens Photo Festival (Athens) etc.

Among others, he has collaborated with the choreographer Russell Maliphant, opera director Francesco Micheli and multimedia researcher Chris Salter. while from 2013 - 2021 he was responsible for the visual design of the British electronic and IDM music group Clock DVA.

He has released his own music under the names ΗΧΟΤΟΠΙΑ (Ixotopia), ΚΥΜΑΤΙΚΗ ΑΘΗΝΩΝ (Kymatiki Athinon) and ΨΥΧΟΤΕΚ (psyxotek).

Tomaras has created commissioned work for theater, opera, dance and advertising, participating and winning awards in several competitions, such as the Athens International Film Festival and the award for best visual design at the Incubate Festival in the Netherlands. Selection of his photographic work is part of the Greek Museum of Photography collection.
